Just register for our alerts service and receive selected updates of your account as and when the transaction happens - all this without visiting the branch or ATM. You will get statement of account on your email by predefined frequency viz. Daily, Weekly or Monthly.

  • Eligibility :
    • To register for SMS Alerts, Email Statement Service, all you need an account with us.
    • The service is not available for Power of Attorney or Nominee account holders. You have to submit application form for said service by signing and agreeing to terms & conditions.
    • SMS Alerts are available only inside INDIA.
    • All Joint Account Holders / Authorized Signatories will have to apply separately for these services.
  • Fees/Charges :

    Presently SMS Alerts, Email Statement Service is FREE.

    Since you are using the text messaging service from your mobile phone, you do not incur any airtime charges in making a phone call/ sending text message from your mobile phone. However, the Cellular Service Provider may levy a charge for the SMS facility.

    As per Bank policy and service charges are applicable.

  • In these terms :
    • 'KUCB', 'bank', 'Bank', 'BANK' means The Karad Urban Co-op. Bank Ltd., Karad
    • Push messages are those that the bank chooses to send out to a customer's registered mobile phone number. Charges are applicable,
      if any (service charges of the bank). e.g. Transaction Alert etc. Pull messages are those that are initiated by the customer, using a mobile phone, for obtaining information. Charges are applicable (service charges of the bank & customers service provider/mobile network operator charges). e.g. account balance enquiry etc.
  • General Conditions :
    • Presently this service is not available for Power of Attorney or Nominee account holders.
    • The account number and customer details should be as per the Bank records.
    • Transaction rights are strictly as per mode of operation registered in Bank records.
    • Bank has sole rights for sending any type of alerts to any register/unregister customer. Bank will stop/interrupt SMS Alerts, Email Statement services at any time.
    • All available & possible Email/SMS alerts are provided.
  • Customer's Responsibility / Liability :
    • The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of any information provided by the Customer in his / her application for availing the facilities or through SMS Alert, Email Statement.
    • In case the Customer observes any error in the information provided by the Bank through these facilities, the Customer shall immediately inform the Bank. The Bank will make the best possible efforts to rectify the error as soon as possible.
    • The Customer agrees that the account / details provided by the Bank through these facilities shall be prepared by electronic means and the Bank shall not be responsible for any incorrect information.
    • The Customer is responsible for intimating to the Bank any change in his mobile phone number/email address or account details and the Bank will not be liable for any error in sending Alerts / Statement or other information over the Customers mobile phone number/email address recorded with the Bank.
    • The Customer shall immediately inform the Bank, in writing, to stop his/her said services, in case of any issues with mobile or email account e.g. if his/her mobile is lost or email account is hacked.
    • The Customer irrevocably and unconditionally authorizes The Karad Urban Co-op. Bank Ltd., Karad to access all his accounts for affecting banking or other transactions of the customer through the SMS Alert, Email Statement Services. The Customer further authorizes The Karad Urban Co-op. Bank Ltd., Karad to share the account information with third party, if required, for the purpose of accepting / executing request of the customer for providing SMS Alert, Email Statement Services.
  • Indemnity :
    • Bank shall not be responsible for any failure on part of the Customer to utilize the facility due to the customer not being within the geographical range within which the facility is offered or customer's service provider issue or network issue or internet issue or any of customer end problems.
    • The Bank does not warrant the confidentiality or security of the messages/alerts whether personal or otherwise transmitted through the Facility. Bank makes no warranty or representation of any kind in relation to the system and the network or their function or performance or for any loss or damage whenever and howsoever suffered or incurred by the Customer or by any person resulting from or in connection with the Facility.
    • The Customer agrees to indemnify the Bank for any loss occurring due to the customer permitting any other third party to use these facilities or to have the unauthorized access to his mobile phone or leaving the mobile phone unattended or due to loss of mobile phone or email account is hacked etc.
    • The Bank does not guarantee the performance of the system and network and shall not be held liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered or incurred by the Customer resulting from the services.
    • Bank shall not be responsible for any loss or damages arising directly or indirectly as a result of malfunctioning / failure of the machine or services.
  • Termination :
    • The Customer can terminate the SMS Alerts, Email Statement Service at any time by giving an Application Form - Discontinue Service.
    • The Bank may at its own discretion withdraw the SMS Alerts, Email Statement Service at any time.
    • The closure of any account of the customer in the Bank may result in stoppage of services or automatically terminate the service permanently.
    • Any dispute or differences arising out of or in connection with the services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karad.
  • Terms and Conditions :
    • The Bank, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, may withdraw the SMS Banking facility.
    • Incorrect messages will not be responded to as expected. These messages include;
      • Incorrect message format.
      • Incorrect code or account number.
      • Using a different phone number from the one registered in the bank system.
    • It is the Customer's responsibility to inform Bank about lost/stolen Mobile.
    • Bank will not in any way be liable/ responsible for non delivery/ delay in delivery of messages that may arise due to problem of any component of Information Systems infrastructure including Network or system failure at our Data Center, geographical problems or any technical errors etc.
    • If you want to discontinue/stop the SMS Alerts facility then you have to submit application form.
    • The Bank reserves the right to terminate the SMS Alerts Facility if the designated account is conducted not satisfactorily.
    • The Bank may send its own educational or informative or general or any promotional or greeting messages to Customers.
    • All disputes are subject to Karad jurisdiction.
    • Above terms & conditions may be change as per bank policy.
    • For PUSH Service, Bank will use Mobile Phone Service Provider's Short Message Service (SMS) to send the information related to a linked customer id/account.
    • For PULL Service, the account holder upon receiving application will be able to obtain a range of information related to account by typing a pre-defined key string/code as a message in the Mobile Phone and then sending this message to a prescribed mobile phone number.
    • PUSH messages validity is only for 2.30 hrs as per industry standards. Bank shall not be responsible for any failure on part of the Customer to utilize the facility due to the customer not being within the network range within which the facility is offered or customer service provider issue or any of customer end problems or any bank end problems.
    • You understand that the message length of SMS messages, will be measured as follows;
      • 160 -characters 1 message
      • 306 -characters 2 messages & so on
    • The account holder is solely responsible to stop misuse of SMS Alerts Service and also to maintain the confidentiality of his/her financial information by ensuring safe holding of the mobile phone/connection assigned to SMS Alerts Service provided by Bank. If the Mobile Phone/Connection is lost, stolen or sold to another individual, the account holder shall immediately notify to the Bank and cancel the SMS Alerts Service.
    • All the transactions arising out of the use of SMS Alerts in relation to a joint account shall be binding on all joint account holders. The customers shall take all necessary precautions to prevent unauthorized and illegal use of our SMS Alerts service and unauthorized access to the Accounts provided by SMS Alerts.
    • The account holder hereby agrees that Bank shall not be responsible for any disruption in SMS Alerts Service due to any mechanical failure on the part of Bank/Mobile Phone Service Provider.
    • The Bank may revise and/or change any of the Terms, Conditions at any time without notice to you.
    • By providing SMS Alerts Service, Bank may collect service charge from the linked account. Bank may revise and/or change the service charge at any point of time without any notice.
    • The Customer acknowledges that where the original communication was unsuccessful due to whatsoever reason, the Bank is not liable to retransmit any data till the next due date as per contracted frequency.
    • In the event of loss or theft of the Customer's equipment or change or disconnection of the mobile telephone number, the Customer undertakes to notify the Bank immediately and indemnifies the Bank for any loss damage on account of the Customer's delay or failure to give such notification.
    • In consideration of Bank providing the facility, Customer agrees to indemnify and keep safe, harmless and indemnified Bank from and against all actions, claims, demands, proceedings, loss, damages, costs, charges, and expenses whatsoever which Bank may at any time incur, sustain, suffer or be put to, as a consequence of or arising out in good faith for acting on or omitting or refusing to act on any instructions given by use of the facility.
    • The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Bank harmless for any losses occurring as a result of the Customer permitting any other person to have access to his mobile phone or as a consequence of leaving the mobile phone unattended. Bank shall not be hold responsible for the confidentiality, secrecy and security of the Personal or Account information being sent through the Alert facility.
    • The Bank shall not be liable for any loss or damage occasioned by any error or inaccuracy in such messages. The Customer shall not hold the Bank liable for any information, which turns out to be incorrect or inaccurate. In case of any dispute raised regarding the a/c details referred in SMS Alert the actual a/c statement at branch shall be considered to be final binding on all.
    • Charges for the SMS Alerts Facility will be at the discretion of the Bank and may be varied from time to time.
    • The Bank may terminate the SMS Alert Facility granted to the Customer, without prior notice in the event of but not limited to, by reason of death, insolvency, bankruptcy, breach or not-compliance with terms and conditions or any agreement with the Bank or any other cause arising out of operation of law or any reason where the `bank considers It reasonable to do so.
    • In case of any events or circumstances, included but not limited to natural calamities fire, floods, war, hostility, civil commotion, Government of India policy, acts of God, sabotage, strikes, riots, terrorists, activities, embargoes, that are beyond the reasonable control of the Bank hereto, and prevents the Bank from carrying cut its contractual obligations, the Bank shall not be hold responsible for any of breach of this agreement due to above mentioned reasons.
    • The customers shall be solely responsible for all the transactions and consequences arising out of the messages emanating from the registered mobile phone instrument. Bank will not assume any responsibility for unauthorized messages sent by any other person without authority.
    • The user shall use only his mobile phone, the number of which has been informed to the bank to access the facilities. The user shall use the keyword/codes stipulated by the bank from time to time to access the various information. The user must keep the SIM card and his mobile phone in his possession at all times. The user shall be solely responsible for the consequences in case the user fails to adhere to the rules of the bank.
    • The customers shall take all necessary precautions to prevent unauthorized and illegal use of our SMS Alerts service and unauthorized access to the Accounts provided by SMS Alerts.
    • The customers shall maintain, at all times, such minimum balance in the account(s) as the BANK may stipulate from time to time. The Bank may, at its discretion, levy penal charges for non-maintenance of the minimum balance without any prior notice.
    • The Bank has the absolute discretion to amend or supplement any of the terms at any time without prior notice, including charges that are applicable for availing the said SMS Alerts service. Changed terms and conditions shall be effective immediately on being practiced and the customer agrees and shall be deemed to have accepted the changed terms and conditions.
    • The bank reserves the right to decide on the services to be offered to a particular user and different services may be offered to different users. The bank also reserves the right to make any additions or deletions in the services offered through Mobile banking at any time.
    • The Bank will not acknowledge receipt of any instructions or triggers nor shall the bank be responsible to verify any instructions or triggers or mobile phone number.
    • The bank will endeavor to give effect to instructions and triggers on a best effort basis and as soon as practically possible for the bank. The bank shall not be responsible for any deficiency or delay in effecting the service or in effecting modification of the triggers.
    • The customers agree not to hold the bank, its directors, its officers, its employees and agents liable for any loss, liability or expenses arising out of or in any way connected with the usage of the our SMS Alerts services.
    • For SMS Alerts, messages will be delivered through all the available and possible mobile service providers in all the circles. The lists are subject to change at any time without any notice to customers. SMS alert facility will not be real time and the customer will receive the same within a reasonable time from the time of transaction in the account.
    • The Bank has got every right to decide on the services to be provided through SMS Alerts facility. Sending SMS messages for receiving PULL alerts, the customer will be charged by the Customers Mobile Operator with applicable SMS Charges. Bank is not responsible for any; successful or failed message or guarantee of reply or any charges.
    • Disclaimer of Liability :
    • The customer (having SMS Alerts Service of Bank) agrees that bank shall not be liable if;

      • The Customer has breached any of the terms and conditions hereinafter referred as 'bank'
      • The Customer has contributed to or the loss is a result of failure on part of the Customer to advise bank within a reasonable time about unauthorized access of or erroneous transactions in the account; or
      • The Customer failed to intimate the bank about Customer's mobile phone/SIM card lost or change in or termination of the Customer's Mobile Phone number
      • Bank under no circumstance, shall be held liable if the Service is not available for reasons including but not limited to natural calamities, legal restraints, faults in the telecommunication network or network failure, technical errors or any other reason beyond the control of Bank. Bank shall not be liable under any circumstances for any damages whatsoever whether such interruption of business or any loss of any character or nature whatsoever and whether sustained by the Customer or by any other person. Illegal, unauthorized or improper use of the Service shall render the Customer liable for payment of financial charges or liabilities as decided by the bank or will result in suspension of the Service to the Customer.
    • Bank is not responsible for any error or omission in the services provided by any Mobile or any third party service provider (whether appointed by Bank on its behalf or otherwise) to the Customer, which may affect the Service.
    • Bank, does not warrant the confidentiality or security of the messages whether personal or otherwise transmitted through the Service. Bank makes no warranty or representation of any kind in relation to the system and the network or their function or performance or for any loss or damage whenever and howsoever suffered or incurred by the Customer or by any person resulting from or in connection with the Service.
    • Without limitation to the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, Bank, its employee shall not be liable for interruption, suspension, resolution or error of Bank in receiving and possession of the request and in formulating and returning responses or any failure, delay, interruption, suspension, restriction, or error in transmission of any information or message to and from the telecommunication equipment of the Customer and the network of any mobile service provider and bank's system or any breakdown, interruption, suspension or failure of the telecommunication equipment of the Customer, Bank's system or the network of any Mobile service provider and/or any third party who provides such services as is necessary to the Service.
    • Notwithstanding anything in the contrary provided in these terms and conditions, Bank shall not be involved in or in any way liable to the Customer for any dispute between the Customer and a Mobile services provider or any third party service provider (whether appointed by Bank in that behalf or otherwise).
    • The Customer agrees that Bank may hold and process his personal information concerning his/her accounts on computer or otherwise in connection with the Service as well as for analysis, credit scoring and marketing.
    • Bank will not be concerned with any dispute between the Customer and any Mobile service provider and/or any third party service provider, through which the Service is being provided by the bank. Bank makes no representation or gives no warranty with respect to the quality of the service provided by any Mobile service provider and/or third party.
    • When you register for the Service you will be asked to provide us with the mobile phone number to which you would like us to send text messages. This service is not provided to a fixed line telephone, a computer capable of receiving text messages. You can register only one mobile phone number (GSM/CDMA) for multiple accounts but cannot register multiple mobile numbers for one account number.
    • We will only send you each alert/text once. If you delete a message we cannot send it again.
    • We may have to interrupt the Service, for example to carry out maintenance or in circumstances beyond our reasonable control, but we will try to keep such interruptions to a minimum.
    • We may, at our discretion, withdraw temporarily or terminate permanently or terminate the service, either wholly or in part, at any time without giving prior notice to you. We may, without prior notice, suspend the Service at any time during which any maintenance work or repair is required to be carried out or in case of any emergency or for security reasons, which require the suspension of the Service.
    • You should check any account information that we send you and let us know urgently about any errors.
    • You must inform us immediately if your mobile phone is lost or stolen, or if you change your mobile phone number. You may do so by unsubscribing yourself from the SMS Alerts service by calling our branch representative in any Bank branch.
    • You may subscribe back at anytime with the new mobile phone information. If you do not inform us, we will continue to send text messages to your lost, stolen or old mobile phone and we cannot be held responsible for any consequences in such circumstances, for example, if someone else comes to know about your account information.
    • We are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, caused by: any breach of confidentiality resulting directly or indirectly from your use of the Service; the Service being unavailable: delays, interruptions or errors in transmission, not being directly our fault, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
    • You acknowledge that we have the absolute discretion to amend or supplement any of the terms and conditions at any time, and such amended terms and conditions will thereupon apply to and be binding on you.
    • Any complaints concerning the service must be directed to the branch-representative of any of our branches depending on which city you are based in.
    • We make no representation or give no warranty with respect to the quality of the service provided by the cellular service provider or guarantee for timely delivery or accuracy of the contents of each text alert. We cannot be held responsible for any message that is not delivered or delayed as a result of delivery problems with providers or for any loss or damage caused to you as a result of the use of the Service (including relying on the Service for your commercial, investment or business purposes).
    • We shall not be concerned with any dispute that may arise between you and your mobile service provider in connection with the Service and we shall not be liable in any manner to you in connection with your use of the Service. I hereby agree to the terms and conditions mentioned above
    • The Customer expressly authorizes the Bank to disclose to the mobile service provider all user information in its possession, as may be required by them to provide the services to the Customer.
    • The Bank shall make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the Customer information is kept confidential. The Bank however shall not be responsible for any divulgence or leakage of confidential customer information.
    • The Customer shall use only his mobile phone, the number of which has been informed to the Bank to access the facilities.
    • The Customer shall use the keyword/s stipulated by the Bank from time to time to access the various services.
    • The Customer must keep the SIM card and his mobile phone in his possession at all times. The Customer shall be solely responsible for the consequences in case, the customer do not adhere to the above.
    • Pull Request facility will be provided by the Bank. The Alerts will be available to the Customer only if the Customer is within the cellular service range of the particular cellular service provider or within such area, which forms part of the roaming network of such cellular service provider providing services to the Customer. Alert shall be available only when the system of the Bank is available. The Customer acknowledges that to receive alerts, his mobile phone number must be active and accessible. The Customer acknowledges that if the customer's mobile phone number is inaccessible or inactive continuously the Customer may not receive the Alert message sent by the Bank. The Customer acknowledges that the SMS Alert Facility is dependent on the infrastructure, connectivity and services provided by service providers engaged by the Bank. The Customer accepts that the timeliness, accuracy and readability of Alerts sent by the Bank will depend on factors affecting other service providers engaged by the Bank. Bank will not responsible for any errors or faults or failure to provide service or anything else.
    • While processing, system will check whether the request is from the same mobile number which has been registered for your Customer ID. If requests received from any other mobile numbers, system will not respond to such requests. If there is any request for specific account number that account number should be register under your Customer ID.
    • Bank will not responsible for any interruption in this service due to surrendering of mobile phone connection by customer or disconnection of mobile phone by customer's service provider.
    • In case of termination of this service, any interruption in this service, customer is given notice for termination of this service; bank has sole rights for before or after termination of this service, incurs any charges, service fees etc.
    • The language of SMS/Text Message is in English which is sent/receive to/from the customer.
    • Account Balance will be clear balance excluding any un-cleared or pending clearing.
    • In case of joint account or multiple signatories, all joint account holders / Signatories are agreeing the terms and conditions with duly signed Mandate/Authority form for Joint Account Holders
    • Various Govt. Fees, Any Taxes, Service Tax is applicable.
    • Internet transmission lines are not encrypted; hence email is not a secure means of transmission. The account holder acknowledges and accepts that such un-secure transmission methods involve security risks including possible third party interception risk of possible unauthorized alteration of data and/or unauthorized usage thereof for whatever purposes. Therefore bank shall not be held liable for any such unauthorized acts. The account holder specifically agrees to exempt the bank from, any and all responsibility/liability arising from such misuse and agrees not to hold the bank responsible for any such misuse and further agree to hold the bank free and harmless from all losses, costs, damages, expenses that may be suffered by the account holder due to any errors and delays. The account holder agrees that the same shall not be considered as a breach by the bank of banker-customer confidentiality. Bank does not take any liability of non-receipt of the emails due to ISP server problem, bad/slow connections or any other technical issue at the end of the ISP / Mail servers or the account holder's end. Account holder undertakes to verify the correctness of each statement or report to the bank within 15 days if there are any errors or anything wrong with each statement. The use and storage of any information including without limitation, password, account information, transmission activity, account balances and any other information available on the customer's personal computer is at customer's own risk, sole responsibility and liability. Bank at its own discretion has right to withdraw, add to or modify any facilities/services from time to time by without notice to the customer. Bank reserves the right to stop or suspend the access to any facilities/services or the provision of all or any of the services at any time. Nothing contained herein shall prejudice or affect the terms and conditions of the account opening agreement. The words and expressions used herein shall have the same meaning as in the account opening agreement. The terms and conditions of this facility shall be in addition to and not in derogation of the terms contained in the account opening agreement.
    • The e-mail and any files transmitted with this e-mail are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to which it will be addressed. If you are not the intended recipient or if you have received this email in error please notify us immediately. This message contains confidential information and is intended only for the individual named.
    • If you are not the named addressee or intended recipient you should not disseminate, distribute or copy the e-mail and that disclosing, copying, distributing, or taking any action in reliance on the contents of the information is strictly prohibited. Any unauthorized reproduction of the message may result in legal and penal action.

Bank cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage arising from the use of the e-mail or attachments.
    • On agreeing to subscribe through the Email statement, Account Holder(s) agree to be bound by all the Terms and Conditions that may be specified by the Bank at the time availing such facility and such other conditions as specified by the Bank from time to time.
    • Bank shall not be liable or responsible for any breach of secrecy caused as a result of the Email Statements being sent to the registered email with the Bank.
    • The Karad Urban Co-op. Bank Ltd., Karad is not liable to verify the any authenticity of the emails.
    • The facility being a optional one the Account Holder (s) shall not hold the Bank liable for any problem arises with the Account holder(s) or Bank's computer network or Internet for receiving Statements from the Bank.
    • In case of Joint Account Holders the Joint Account Holders shall not hold liable the Bank for receiving the Email to the designated email address of one of the Account Holder.
    • The Account Holder(s) shall at all times be responsible for updating the details with the Bank from time to time to receive this service uninterrupted of the Bank.
    • Account Holder shall not hold Bank responsible for non receipt of Statements due to incorrect Email address and technical reasons.
    • The Bank shall at its own discretion at any time may discontinue/alter/modify the facility at the terms and conditions as specified therein at the sole discretion of the Bank.
    • Computer viruses can be transmitted via email. The recipient should check this email and any attachments for the presence of viruses. The Karad Urban Co-op. Bank Ltd., Karad accepts no liability for any damage caused by any virus transmitted by this email. E-mail transmission cannot be guaranteed to be secured or error-free as information could be intercepted, corrupted, lost, destroyed, arrive late or incomplete, or contain viruses. The sender therefore does not accept liability for any errors or omissions in the contents of this message, which arise as a result of e-mail transmission. Although The Karad Urban Co-op. SMS Alerts is a facility through which you can receive latest information about your banking transactions on your Bank Account which is with us. These could be event or frequency based alerts. Alerts are available only after registration.

SMS Alerts is a system which allows you to receive an SMS text/Email Message when certain events are triggered on your accounts. The system also allows you to send an 'on demand' request for and receive certain account information such as account balances, transaction details etc. via your registered mobile phone number/email address. SMS Alerts is a service that allows you to stay updated on your Bank account transactions through your mobile/email. To receive these alerts you have to register for the service.

Depending on the type of alerts selected, you will receive the alert(s) when the particular event happens. However, in case of the weekly account balance, the alert is sent once a week.
